Br Barry Buckley Breakfast

Brisbane City Hall

After a sensational debut event in 2016, featuring an address from former Prime Minister, the Hon. John Howard OM AC, the GTOBA once again hosted the Br Barry Buckley Breakfast at Brisbane City Hall on 12 October.

This year’s special guest speaker, Cameron Clyne, current Chairman of the Australian Rugby Union, provided incredible insight into the world of sport and competition.  Having served as Director, Managing Director and Group CEO of the National Australia Bank Group, Cameron’s thoughts and reflections proved fascinating.  Guests enjoyed hearing how he attempts to balance the seemingly competing interest of fans who are emotionally attached to their sport with the need of organisations to remain profitable as a business.

This inaugural event attracts an overwhelmingly positive response and the breakfast will be a hotly anticipated feature on the annual calendar. The event is open to everyone in the Terrace Family, with its timing and location proving popular for business connections.

The Breakfast is named in honour of Br Barry Buckley – a former Terracian and widely admired former Headmaster of the College.

Save the Date: Thursday 28 March 2019, The Queensland Cricketers Club - more details to come.
